Create Your Own Bag…this seems to be the new craze! There are several online stores which provide you with the option of designing your own handbag. You pick the bag, then add your choice of fabric, trim, and hardware.

I love the Tara Bag from 1154 Lill Studio. You have the option of carrying this bag as a messenger or shortening the straps to carry over the shoulder.

Freddy and Ma gives you the option of customizing your own purse or home accessory. My personal favorite is the bowler bag which is big enough to carry your laptop making it a chic business option. The fabric choices are modern and fresh which makes them a lot of fun to work with and try new variations!

There are just too many cute designs to chose from at Laura Bee Designs. This Seattle-based store offers a multitude of customizable pieces like purses, wallets, and belts. They even have a selection of pieces that you can customize with your favorite photo.

B’s Purses expands all of these options further by offering luggage and sport choices. The Peace Yoga Bag is very zen when you pair it with the Honey B fabric.

Crumpler Bags puts the ‘fun’ in funky! I don’t think you can order custom bags online, but if you happen to be in NYC, you can stop into their store and pick from a variety of styles and designs.

Who knows, in the process of customizing your bag you may discover a hidden talent…like you’re the next Marc Jacobs designing for Louis Vuitton!
