I first learned about Wordle a few weeks back from Nicole over at Making It Lovely. It’s basically a word association tool used for fun. You type in words and it generates “word clouds” from the text that you provide.

Yesterday, while reading the Washington Post, I came across this article. The author took words from both presidential candidates’ blogs and plugged them into Wordle. The outcome was rather interesting.

The cloud on the left belongs to Obama while the cloud on the right belongs to McCain. Notice any one word standing out above all others? The author said it best by ending with this line, “Every word counts.”

It’s fascinating that McCain’s has Obama’s name larger than Obama’s own.
